Dr Richard Slade

Richard is a lecturer in social work in the School of Healthcare at the University of Leeds. He has been engaged for 45 years n the practice, management and direction of social work and has worked within the NHS and third sector. He has a strong interest in interagency and inter-professional working and has lead a number of projects to innovate and improve public services with a focus on partnerships with users and carers.  His research interests and expertise lie in conflict resolution, peacebuilding and social cohesion in the UK.  He is particularly interested in working with groups who are marginalised and excluded especially children. Richard teaches social work law to undergraduate and postgraduate students.  He is a big fan of marmite.
